We will cover recent FinCEN guidance on Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”) compliance during the pandemic, discuss risks and mitigants relating to disaster fraud, and outline the application of AML rules to the disbursement and use of stimulus funds. Time permitting, we will also briefly summarize the oversight mechanisms established under the CARES Act and the extent to which these new agencies and panels have the power to investigate AML violations by financial institutions.
