Covington Litigator Robert Wick Named to The National Law Journal's 40 Under 40 List

May 4, 2005

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 4, 2005 -  Covington & Burling partner Robert D. Wick was recognized as one of the top "40 Under 40" lawyers in this week's edition of The National Law Journal.  Mr. Wick, resident in Washington, D.C., serves as vice chair of Covington's 200-strong litigation practice group.

Mr. Wick was noted for his role in several significant litigation and arbitration matters over his career at Covington.  Among his mentioned highlights, Mr. Wick represented New Skies Satellites in an international arbitration in which New Skies recovered a $53 million award.  His practice focuses on representation of companies in high stakes antitrust and pension plan litigation for clients including IBM Corporation, JP Morgan Chase, and heritage Bank One Corporation.

The National Law Journal selected its winners based on independent research and nominations from readers and legal associations.  Of the recognized lawyers, The National Law Journal notes, "the list attempts to identify 40 of the leading young attorneys in various areas of law across the country who, we expect, will continue to exert influence in the legal profession."
