Senior Public Affairs Adviser Holly Fechner Joins Covington


WASHINGTON, DC, April 10, 2007 — Covington & Burling LLP announced today that Holly Fechner has joined the firm as Of Counsel.  Ms. Fechner will be resident in the firm’s Washington office.

Ms. Fechner most recently served as Policy Director for Senator Edward M. Kennedy.  She also served as Chief Labor & Pensions Counsel to the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee.  Ms. Fechner was responsible for developing policy initiatives on a broad range of domestic and international issues including the economy, retirement security, health care, education, labor, and globalization.  She served as chief negotiator on legislation to reform pensions, increase the federal minimum wage, extend unemployment insurance benefits, and prevent genetic discrimination.
