LONDON, 6 August, 2007 — Covington & Burling LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of two associates in the London office: Janet Kidd joins the European Life Sciences Group and Mark Young joins the European TMC Practice.

Before qualifying as a solicitor, Janet spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry where she worked for household names such as Pfizer, GlaxoWellcome and Bayer with particular emphasis on drug discovery and development projects. From 2001 to 2004 she was project manager and then associate director in the Global Project Management team of Pfizer Global R&D, with responsibility for drug development for a portfolio of drugs and worldwide filings.

Mark’s practice focuses on intellectual property, information technology and data protection law, and encompasses legislative advocacy, regulatory compliance and transactional work.
