Covington Named Best Recruiter, US Firm in the City at LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards 2008

June 6, 2008

LONDON, 6 June, 2008 — The London office of Covington & Burling LLP was named “Best Recruiter, US Firm in the City” at the LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards 2008. The awards ceremony was held at Forbes House in London on June 5.

The award is based on a survey of more than 3,000 trainees and newly qualified solicitors who have been through the recruitment process at many of the London firms. Now in its fifth year, the survey is the most rigorous analysis of its kind, with LawCareers.Net remaining one of the premier resource centres in the UK legal recruitment market.

Covington’s London office won the award for “Best Medium City Trainer” in 2005, and was shortlisted as “Best Recruiter Medium City Firm” and “Best Trainer Medium City Firm” in 2006 and 2007, reflecting both the success of the firm’s recruitment and training programmes and the consistency of its offering in the UK and Europe.

Grant Castle, training principal at the London office responsible for the firm’s recruitment and training in the UK, commented: “We are thrilled to have been honoured at the LawCareers Awards once again, and thank everyone for the great feedback that has enabled us to do so. This award reflects the hard work and commitment of a large team within our London office. We see organic growth as one of the key ingredients to success in Europe, and go to great lengths to ensure our recruitment and training strategy matches our aspirations.”
