Daily Journal Names Covington’s Stork and Winner to ‘Top Women Litigators’ List

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 19, 2009 — Covington & Burling LLP partners Anita Stork and Sonya Winner have been named “Top Women Litigators” by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal.

In naming Ms. Winner a “Top Woman Litigator” for the third consecutive year, the editors cited her victory on behalf of Wells Fargo in an antitrust and consumer class action suit, and her role as lead counsel for the San Francisco 49ers before the California Supreme Court. Ms. Stork is recognized as lead counsel in antitrust and consumer law, including representing Dillard’s Inc. in a class action alleging vertical price-fixing, a technology client in a licensing dispute, and a food products company in an unfair competition investigation by the district attorney.

Ms. Winner was a founding partner of Covington’s San Francisco office and is chair of the firm’s Consumer and Class Action Litigation practice group. Ms. Stork is a vice chair of the firm's Antitrust and Consumer Law Practice Group, and a former vice chair of the firm's litigation practice.
