Albarrán, Engh and Garza Shortlisted for ‘Americas Women in Business Law Awards’

WASHINGTON, DC, March 29, 2012 — Euromoney Legal Media Group has named Covington & Burling and three of its partners to shortlists for the inaugural Americas Women in Business Law Awards.

Covington has been shortlisted as one of the Best Firms for Minority Women Lawyers, based on the Diversity at Covington program, and for the Work-Life Balance Award, for the firm’s benefits and commitment to work-life balance.

Three Covington partners have been named to Euromoney’s shortlist for Best Lawyers and Rising Stars. Deborah Garza, co-chair of Covington’s antitrust practice, has been shortlisted for Best in Antitrust and Competition. Anna Engh, a senior partner in Covington’s widely recognized and highly regarded policyholder recovery practice, is shortlisted for Best in Insurance and Reinsurance. Tammy Albarrán, who focuses on SEC investigations and enforcement actions, private securities class action litigation and internal investigations, has been shortlisted as a Rising Star.

The Americas Women in Business Law Awards will be presented on Thursday, May 24, at Essex House in New York.
