Covington Announces Three New Special Counsel

WASHINGTON, DC, August 12, 2013 — Covington & Burling is pleased to announce the promotion of three lawyers to special counsel, effective August 1, 2013.

Michael Clancy (Brussels) focuses his practice on EU competition law, and has extensive experience advising clients in regulated industries such as life sciences (pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical devices) and software & technology. His experience includes cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, and distribution, R&D, patent and trademark licensing and other commercial arrangements.

Daniel Levine (Shanghai) focuses his practice on outbound and inbound transactions involving the People’s Republic of China. He has extensive experience advising corporations and private equity funds in U.S. and China-based mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other foreign direct investment transactions.

Peng Wang (Silicon Valley) focuses his practice on corporate matters. He has extensive experience in cross-border transactions with a focus on China. He regularly counsels both U.S. and Chinese companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, capital markets, and corporate governance.
