Miranda Cole Named Among Politico's "Women Who Shape Brussels"

November 10, 2017

BRUSSELSPolitico has named Covington partner Miranda Cole to its “2017 Women Who Shape Brussels” list, a group of “20 powerhouses driving debates and influencing policy in 2017.”

In its profile of Ms. Cole, the publication highlights her defense of leading technology clients, including Microsoft, Facebook, and Verizon, before the European Commission. Politico notes that Ms. Cole’s “track record places Cole, an Australian, at the epicenter of Europe’s digital political earthquakes.”

Quoting Chambers Global, Politico added, “She has an uncanny ability to balance the needs of the client and the demands of the competition agency so as to defuse a potentially confrontational situation.”

Ms. Cole has more than 20 years of experience before the European Commission, national competition authorities, and the European Courts. Her practice has a particular focus on advising companies active in the technology and software sectors. She advises clients on the competition issues raised by IP, data, and technology, including access and licensing issues, standardization, remuneration, and interoperability.
