Pro Bono Video: 11 Years to Freedom

In 2003, a West Virginia University student was found guilty of first degree murder for the shooting of a classmate and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

After an unsuccessful appeal to the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals by his original defense counsel, Brian Ferguson turned to Covington to help him fight for his freedom.

The result of the case not only has had a lasting impact on Mr. Ferguson, but it will create a ripple effect that will touch the lives of many others through his ongoing work in the community.
