MABF Honors Eric Holder with Pioneer for Justice Award

June 14, 2018

LOS ANGELES—The Mexican American Bar Foundation (MABF) honored Covington partner and the 82nd Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder with the Pioneer for Justice Award at its 27th Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala.

MABF recognized Mr. Holder for his commitment to equal justice for all Americans and for providing inspiration to advocates in the pursuit of restorative justice principles and practice. “Mr. Holder made history with an impressive civil rights record, from challenging discriminatory voting restrictions to fulfilling his promise of investigating patterns of racial bias in Ferguson’s Police Department,” said Nina Huerta, President of MABF.

MABF’s mission is to enhance the diversity of the legal profession through education by providing financial assistance to men and women of Latino heritage who intend to pursue careers in the law.
