February 21, 2020

WASHINGTONCovington has chosen Washington partner Henry Liu to be a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 2020 Fellows Program. Mr. Liu will participate in programs designed to attract, inspire, and nurture the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. Mr. Liu is a litigator specializing in defending financial institutions and other corporate clients in class actions involving antitrust and consumer protection claims.

Covington associates Fatmata Kabia in New York and Kassandra Maldonado in Washington will participate in the LCLD Pathfinder Program designed for high-potential, early career lawyers from diverse backgrounds. The program aims to assist the “Pathfinders” with critical career development strategies including leadership and the development of professional networks.

Ms. Kabia focuses her practice on internal and government investigations and commercial litigation, while Ms. Maldonado concentrates on pharmaceutical investigations and compliance matters.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is an organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have dedicated themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
