Michael Hill primarily advises media and technology companies (including major media groups, broadcast stations, cable networks, sports leagues and teams, internet video services, and other content providers) in connection with a broad array of commercial and corporate transactions. His practice encompasses content licensing and distribution agreements, media rights agreements, joint ventures, technology licensing and services agreements, the media and intellectual property-related aspects of corporate transactions, and other media-related strategic and advisory work.

Mr. Hill has particularly extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex television and video licensing and distribution agreements, including retransmission consent agreements, affiliation agreements, and internet and other new media distribution agreements, as well as sports media rights agreements. His practice extends across platforms (including broadcast, cable, satellite, mobile, and digital) and business models (including linear, subscription and ad-supported video on-demand, authenticated, “over the top,” and a la carte distribution).
