  • Secured favorable insurance recoveries for private equity firm arising from hurricane losses to real estate assets in multiple states through litigation and non-litigated settlements.
  • Represented Brunei Investment Agency in successful advertising injury coverage litigation arising from underlying defamation, disparagement, and malicious prosecution claims.
  • Represented Enpro Industries, Inc., Coltec Industries, Inc., and Garlock Sealing Technologies in successful multi-site environmental and asbestos coverage litigation involving lost policies.
  • Counsel for global pharmaceutical company in construction defect litigation involving “wrap insurance.”
  • Represented Société Générale, SG Cowen, and other financial institutions in coverage disputes under fidelity bond and professional liability policies arising from customer claims alleging Ponzi schemes.
  • Counsel for gas and electric utility companies in securing environmental coverage for manufacturing gas plant and other sites.
  • Counsel for Millennium Partners in construction defect coverage litigation.
  • Provided surety bond advice to gaming solutions, pharmaceutical, energy, and real estate development clients.
  • Negotiated insurance placements for individual, high net-worth clients.

  • Represented the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty in litigation against the federal government over compliance with Title V of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
  • Counsel in litigation against hospital over treatment to “Baby K” under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.
  • Represented the Legal Services Corporation in litigation involving constitutional implications of Congressional funding restrictions.
  • Provided advice to faith-based organization concerning employee application and termination guidelines under federal and state anti-discrimination laws and in light of U.S. Supreme Court “ministerial exception” doctrine.
