Greg Rubio is special counsel resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office, where he is a member of the firm’s litigation and insurance practice groups.

Mr. Rubio represents clients in complex commercial cases, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation and advice.  Working with commercial policyholders in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, energy and natural resources, sports, and technology, Mr. Rubio has considerable experience both in litigating and in negotiating commercial resolutions of coverage disputes, including disputes related to complex environmental, toxic tort, and other personal injury claims.

  • Successfully represented major technology manufacturing company in obtaining coverage for cleanup of historical PCB contamination.
  • Represented multinational energy and oil corporation in asbestos coverage litigation.
  • Successfully represented building products manufacturer in obtaining coverage for costs of historical asbestos litigation.

  • Represented former Louisiana inmate in civil litigation seeking damages for his wrongful conviction and twenty-plus years imprisonment.
  • Represented inmate in his direct appeal in Alabama state court from a capital sentence.
  • Represented numerous DC offenders in their parole applications to the U.S. Parole Commission.
  • Advised a local DC non-profit focused on the preservation and restoration of the tree canopy along Massachusetts Avenue, on insurance coverage issues.
