Roemer Sijmons, a non-lawyer, is a policy advisor in the firm’s Public Policy practice. He advises clients on a range of European public and regulatory affairs issues, including the EU policy-making processes and functioning of the European institutions, with a particular focus on international trade and investment policy, digital policy, financial services, and life sciences.
Prior to joining Covington in 2019, Mr. Sijmons worked for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Washington, DC.
Mr. Sijmons read law at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and at the University of Cambridge.
